Ogden International's Elementary School is a space where children are treasured and valued, where each child is an enthusiastic learner and is encouraged to continuously move forward, to be inquisitive and to rely on discovery as an important source of learning. Our experienced faculty is committed to connecting students with their potential. We offer an education that motivates, encourages and inspires children to be creative problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders. We take a global approach to teaching, always striving to develop open-minded, caring humans that will lead us peacefully in to the future.
Come back often for important Elementary School information and announcements! This is where everything is going to posted throughout the year.
School is out!
As we close the 2016-2017 school year, we wish to share heartfelt thank you to everyone for making the year so successful! It has been an exciting year, with much to be proud of. We encourage everyone to look back through the photos posted Ogden's Facebook page from September. What an amazing year! Our teachers, staff, students, and parent volunteers are what make Ogden special and our learning community truly is world class.
While we all deserve some rest and relaxation, we do plan to send periodic updates over the summer, so please be on the lookout. We are also planning back-to-school events the days leading up to the first day of school on September 5th.
The offices at each campus will have minimal hours of availability over the summer. Please check our website, ogden.cps.edu, for updates and information.
Again, thank you for such a successful year. We look forward to building upon this success next year to achieve our goal of being the best IB school in the world!
IB: We strive to exhibit the attributes of the Learner Profile and demonstrate the IB Attitudes all year long! June's learner profile is "Reflective" and attitude is "Appreciation." Ask the learners in your family how being reflective and showing appreciation have helped them learn at Ogden. Want to know why IB is important for our learners? Read THIS.
VERY IMPORTANT: Update your Constant Contact profile: Be sure to update your profile for next year by selecting next year's grade levels for your student(s). You can always update your profile by visiting our website (http://ogden.cps.edu/) and selecting "Sign up for school updates" under the Our Parents section, or by clicking HERE.
Relocating or transferring? Is your family moving or transferring before next school year? Please complete THIS form to let us know. This will enable us to prepare documents prior to the end of the school year. It also helps with planning homerooms and schedules.
Google account: Graduating 12th grade, or transferring outside of CPS? Be sure to download anything you have saved to your Google email or drive. After you transfer out of CPS, you account is automatically and immediately deactivated, and you will not be able to access the email or documents you might have saved.
Volunteers needed: We have had some amazing parents at East Campus help with Kiss-n-go in the morning. Unfortunately many of them are heading to West Campus next year. If you want to ensure we have a safe, orderly drop off next year, please volunteer! We allow regular drop-off volunteers to park in the garage, along with some other perks. Please contact Mr. Beyer or Ms. Kranz for more information.
Summer SEED: Interested in participating in a weekend-long class on diversity and equity? Ogden might host just such an opportunity. The class will be open to all parents, teachers, staff, and community members. Email email@example.com for more information, or learn more about SEED here: http://ogden.cps.edu/diversity.html
Local School Council openings: We anticipate two parent openings on the LSC starting in July. If you are interested in applying, please complete the forms below and return to the clerk at either campus prior to July 1st. Candidates who do not submit all of the forms, or have incomplete forms, cannot be considered.

(Rising 6-8) Middle School Elective/World Language Course Preference Form: If you have not already done so, please utilize the form embedded in the link below to select your child's course preferences for electives and world language courses at West Campus for next year.
It is important to note, while we will try to honor preferences for electives and languages we can not guarantee either the primary or secondary preference, as we must plan around student academic core classes as a priority. Due to the complexity of programming, once selections are made they are final and no changes will be able to be made. Classes have maximum capacities so we will attempt to honor selections in the order of submission. We will program middle school schedules during the summer and they will be distributed at our West Campus Registration on August 28th, 2017 (12:00pm-6:00pm). Please reach out to Mr. Ribaudo (email@example.com) if you have additional questions.
