Welcome to West Campus
At Ogden we strive for excellence in our high school. This is not your "typical" public high school. Here you are a person, not a number. We are not a Selective Enrollment school. If you graduate from our 8th grade, you have the honor of moving up through our high school - continuing to be surrounded by our dedicated faculty and staff in a nurturing environment. This intimate environment allows for an individual approach to education.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) programme sets us apart as well with its trans disciplinary, inquiry-based learning allowing for a more student-led experience. We focus on our communities here in Chicago through outreach projects and walking field trips. Chicago is an extension of our classroom.
We celebrate our cultural differences through theater performances, dining out, art exhibits and exchange programs that span the globe. Our goal is to develop strong thinkers that are globally minded. The students that graduate from Ogden International have a keen sense of how to understand differences in people and are working toward a more peaceful world.
Please note that in 2018-2019, Ogden International High School adopted a block schedule with enrichment and seminar days with early dismissal.
Congratulations to our selected seniors who participated in the All City Senior Exhibition at the Neiman Center through School of the Art Institute last week. One student even had her art in the main window!
Please come see more of the IB Visual Arts artwork on Thursday, April 4th at INTUIT; 756 N. Milwaukee Avenue. They will be showcasing over 100 pieces. More info to come.
Congratulations to Karla Hinojosa on receiving the Posse Scholarship! The Posse Foundation identifies individuals with extraordinary leadership potential and receive scholarships from partnered top-tier colleges and universities across the country. She will be attending Oberlin college this fall on a full tuition scholarship (valued at $210,000)!
In November, AAP student Chloe Cabrales was honored at Chicago's Google Headquarters by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation for excelling in the community, and in her focus category, “Media and Entertainment.” Honorees competed with more than 13,000 applicants for 18 coveted awards in the Chicago region. Chloe has been a dedicated dancer at AAP for two years and is a role model for her talent, dedication, persistence, and kindness. Chloe received a bronze medal and scholarship funds to continue her education in college where she hopes to dual major in Dance and Psychology. Congratulations, Chloe!
